Health claims

Health claims are descriptions on food packaging that show connections between a food or its components and health aspects. Health claims must be based on and supported by sound scientific evidence. In the future, only health-related claims that have been approved by the European Union and included in a central list may be used.

The UFC offers solutions and recommendations to design effective advertising measures while meeting the requirements of the Health Claims Regulation.
